Bastardized Ramen for the Average College Student.

Ingredients

1 lb pork

6 cups water

4-5 1-inch diameter ginger rounds

1 bunch green onions

4 Tbsp soy sauce

2 Tbsp Sake

1 Tbsp crushed garlic

1 tsp Sesame oil

Choice of ramen noodles


Directions

Cure pork overnight with salt. Rub with salt - place in container - let rest overnight.

Boil water and add pork and other ingredients to make broth.

Strain liquid and set aside.

Cook noodles according to package.

Add broth and noodles in bowl. Slice pork and add to ramen.

Top with green onions.


Additions

Menma - marinated bamboo

Ajitama - soft boiled egg (boil 6.5 minutes, remove from heat, place into ice water, peel shell)

Add vegetables (bok choy, onions, cabbage, shredded carrots, daikon, etc.)
